Come and celebrate local food and drink at the Southfields Harvest event. It takes place on Saturday 4 October from 12-3pm, and is jointly organized by Abundance Southfields, Southfields Grid Residents’ Association, St Barnabas Church.
Here’s what’s in store:
Bring your surplus apples and/or pears to turn into juice – please bring your own clean containers to take away the results. Juicer provided by Abundance Southfields
- Buy locally grown allotment produce to raise funds for the Wandsworth Food Bank, also home-made cakes, preserves and Fair Trade tea and coffee
- Bring your surplus garden and home produce to sell, share or swap
- Try delicious Southfields Sausages from The Village Butcher
- Sample locally produced beer on sale from the Rocky Head micro-brewery
- Church open with harvest displays and registers of marriages and baptisms available for inspection
- Enter our baking and jam making competitions, plus the Scary Vegetable Monster competition for children
- Visit the Friends of Wimbledon Park stall, and find out more about its work
