Taste some local craft beer, get your kids making scary vegetable monsters, or enter a baking competition at this month’s Southfields Harvest event.
The event, now in its second year, takes place on September 26 in the community hall at St Barnabas Church, Lavenham Road. It celebrates the best of local food and drink and features a children’s scarecrow competition, BBQ, apple juicing and cake sale. There are also prizes for the best jams, chutneys and bakes.
The Friends of Wimbledon Park will have a stall too, so come and say hello, and find out more about what we’ve been doing this year.
Southfields Harvest is open from 12-3pm and entry is free. To find out more, visit www.southfieldsharvest.weebly.com
